The Health Outcomes Research Division is founded on the postulate that health care providers are increasingly required to account for the resources they use. Systems outcomes are outcome measures influenced by policy, program, service or other activities and represents change at health systems level.  These outcomes include value for investment/resources, patient experience and public health outcomes.  This division will focus in research such as assessing benefits for resources invested, types of strategies to improve research outcomes and how to create better environment to foster better health system outcomes.

Roles & Functions

  • To promote, coordinate and conduct of research and development of health outcomes research in the following areas:
    • Population-based and clinical-based programs and interventions
    • health outcome measures
    • methods for health outcome measurement
    • research skills in conducting outcomes research
